We are currently sitting at 5 out of 6 needed votes for SB 79 to pass out of the Local Government Committee, even after recent amendments. This will be a fight to get this bill to the floor. After the incredible CEQA victory, the potential impact of SB 79 is huge, and opponents like the League of Cities are turning up the heat.We need to make as big a splash as possible next week. CA YIMBY and YIMBY Action are putting things into high gear, hoping we can mobilize as many folks as possible for this committee hearing.
